Abstract

When two optical gratings are brought into contact face to face through an optical system, Moire¢¥ fringe are seen lying pependicular to the ruling direction of the gratings.
In this paper, discussion about and analysis of the visibilities of the Moire¢¥fringe are included.
As the optical system, I took an optical system-apparatus with "grating-holder" which is designed and manufactured in order to enhance obsevations and photographs of the Moire¢¥fringe-profiles. This system depends on ¥è?? and spacer t?? changes between two gratings G_1 and G_2, and the diffraction gratings are two Leflica gratings which have a grating constant ¥ø_1=¥ø_2=1.69¥ì and grating number N_1=N_2=592lines/mm.
The configurations of optical system-apparaturs are organized by the oberving-system of "minimum deviation." The results showde that, in general the contrast of the fringes depends on the transmittance of the grating-i.e. the greater the transmittance of the gratings, the lower the contrast of the fringes that will result. All theses results have been confirmed by this experiment.
